Begin your trip in Perth as you pack up your EV to hit the road.

Grab a bite to eat, stop by the famous Kings Park for one last look over the bustling city, and then hit the freeway headed south.

Make your way out of Perth and begin your Explore EVerywhere adventure as you head south towards Albany. The scenic drive taking you from city streets to the dramatic coastlines of the Great Southern, with plenty of time to pause and enjoy the journey along the way.

Stop in Kojonup for a top-up charge as needed, while you explore the Kodja Place.  Wander the hallways learning about the unique Aboriginal history of the region, before exploring the Rose Maze and grabbing a bite from the adjoining cafe. Then hit the road again.

Once in Albany, park at an EV charger in the town centre and take the opportunity to explore the local shops and historic streets, or grab a tasty lunch while you charge up. With plenty of daylight still left, head out to Torndirrup National Park, where you can stand above the surging Southern Ocean at The Gap and Natural Bridge. The 40m high elevated viewing platform at The Gap reaches out over the cliff edge, offering a thrilling perspective of the waves and granite coastline below.

Alternatively, stop by nearby Misery Beach - once named the Best Beach in Australia, for a stunning swim. Or perhaps call in at Albany's Historic Whaling Station to learn the stories past of the whaling industry.

Then it's time to head back into town where you can recharge, both yourself and the car, while you et ready to continue east along The South West Edge towards Bremer Bay tomorrow.

Optional Extra: If you have an extra day, there's plenty to see and do in Albany. From visiting the National ANZAC Centre, to a walking tour of the city, or a quick trip out to the beaches of Two Peoples National Park. During the warmer months, experienced divers can even explore the HMAS Perth, a decommissioned guided-missile destroyer now resting beneath the waters off Albany as a dive wreck.

Overnight: Bremer Bay

Leave Albany in the morning with a full charge and follow the South Coast Highway east towards beautiful Bremer Bay. This is a wonderful remote stretch of The South West Edge fuelled by coastal winds and beachside moments. Let the road carry you through changing bushland landscapes towards one of the coast’s most pristine seaside corners.

On arrival, take a moment to recharge your EV at the public chargers in town and slow into Bremer Bay’s laid-back coastal rhythm. Use the charging time to pick up supplies, enjoy a coffee, or explore the small township before setting off to discover the surrounding natural beauty.

Head to Little Boat Harbour, a calm, clear-water beach ideal for swimming. If you have extra time, explore beneath the surface on the Little Boat Harbour Dive Trail, where divers and snorkellers can look out for the region's distinctive leafy and weedy seadragons.

If you are travelling during orca season (from January to early April), get to town early and join an all-day charter from Bremer Bay out to the Bremer Canyon. Bremer Canyon it the home to the largest known pod of orca in the Southern Hemisphere. You'll can also spot dolphins, seabirds and other ocean wildlife on these tours.

Settle in for the night in Bremer Bay at Native Dog Cabin, boasting impeccable views out across its namesake beach. A luxurious property, it even hosts a sauna perfect for winding down after a long day.

Overnight: Hopetoun

Continue east, where the road becomes quieter, wilder, and wonderfully remote. But before leaving Bremer Bay, make sure you are starting off with a full charge, ready for a day of adventuring.

Enjoy the drive through changing landscapes of the Fitzgerald River National Park with exceptional hiking and bird-watching in this UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Take in the sweeping views from Point Ann, a sheltered bay that becomes an important resting place for southern right whales between July and October.

Then head onwards to Ravensthorpe - home to remarkable wildflowers in Spring and the Hopetoun Ravensthorpe Railway Heritage Walk, a hiking track well worth the stop. If you're more of a sweet tooth, stop by Yummylicious Candy Shack, where you'll find giant lolly pops, tea pots, and delicious snacks, perfect for indulging your inner child.

If you want to overnight again before heading to Esperance, push on to Hopetoun, where a gorgeous sunset over the ocean awaits. Stay at Hopetoun Motel & Chalet Village in the centre of town, and enjoy fishing, swimming, or kite surfing off nearby pristine white sandy beaches. You can charge at the public chargers, with Type Two 22KW chargers available at the Hopetoun Community Resource Centre.

When night falls, don't forget to look up. With little light pollution, Hopetoun and the surrounding coastline offer excellent stargazing opportunities.

Overnight: Esperance

Keep the adventure rolling as you head into the bright blues of Esperance. With so much to discover here, plan to stay for at least two or three nights to really take it all in.

Park up at RAC Esperance Holiday Park and recharge easily with onsite facilities - the perfect base to settle in and explore this extraordinary stretch of coast at your own pace.

For alternative overnight accommodation, Esperance Chalet Village is a special spot, with unique A-Frame chalets, log cabins, and cottages perfect for couples and small groups. While Box Hill is an adults only option set on 650 acres just a short drive from town. Thoughtfully crafted cabins designed for simplicity and comfort, make it ideal to slow down, unwind, and take in the beauty of the region.

Start with the breathtaking 40-kilometre Great Ocean Drive loop, where one beautiful beach seems to lead to another. Stop at favourites including Eleven Mile Beach and Twilight Beach, take the walk to Rotary Lookout for wide-reaching coastal views, then return to Twilight Beach to watch the sky change colour at sunset. Along the way, make time for a refreshing stop at a local brewery or café.

Spend another day discovering Esperance from the water or heading further afield to Cape Le Grand National Park. Join a cruise to snorkel, take a fishing charter from town, or head inland to climb the famous Frenchman's Peak for spectacular views across the coast.

Esperance is built for lazy days, so don't feel like you need to rush through this gem on your way home.

Overnight: Hyden

Begin the long journey back to Perth via Hyden, enjoying one last taste of the wide-open landscapes of The South West Edge.

Make Hyden on of the key charging stops on the way back to Perth. Plug in for a full charge, stop by the Salt Pools, explore the quirky town and grab a bite to eat. Then take a short detour to Wave Rock for a little adventure before continuing west. Thought to have formed more than 130 million years ago, this extraordinary granite formation rises around 15 metres high and makes for an unforgettable photo stop.

Continue towards Perth, stopping in Brookton for a final EV top-up. Take the opportunity to stretch your legs and grab a coffee before completing the final stretch back to the city.
