The South West Development Commission is part of the WA Government, working under the umbrella of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development. Our aim is to make the South West region an even better place to live, work and invest. We do so by partnering with communities, government, business and industry to identify and support projects that benefit the region. Developing the region’s economy is a key area of focus. As part of our work, we administer the State Government’s Regional Economic Development (RED) grants program, which invests in projects that stimulate economic growth and development in regional Western Australia. The State Government has committed $28.8 million over five years towards the RED Grants program for projects that will directly benefit regional communities.
